The Northwest Ohio Innovation Consortium (NOIC) is excited to announce the Northwest Ohio Glass Recycling Blitz, a week-long event dedicated to raising awareness and increasing participation in glass recycling. The initiative will run from April 16-22, 2025, with a kickoff event on April 16th to officially launch the initiative.
The kickoff event starting at 1 PM EST will take place at the OI Perrysburg Levis Commons Campus Plaza 3 Parking Lot, an established public glass recycling drop-off location. Throughout the week, designated collection sites will be set up across Lucas and Wood Counties to make recycling more accessible for residents. Additional site details will be announced soon.
Why It Matters
The Glass Recycling Blitz aims to educate the community on the benefits of keeping glass out of landfills and encourage residents to adopt more sustainable waste management habits. Participants are invited to bring glass bottles only (excluding non-recyclable glass materials such as windows, Pyrex, and fiberglass).
